Pantry Jars and Spring Flowers

I have been busy this week making grubby pantry jars and spring flower arrangements for our first spring show next weekend at Kane County Flea Market. I really like how they all turned out, let me know what you think.

I have also been working on some grubby soaps and pantry cakes and will post photo's once I am done with them.

If you are in the St. Charles, IL area next weekend I hope you stop by and see us.

I am back from Ohio

I just arrived home from Ohio and I am exhausted from all the shopping. We found alot of nice prim treasures to sell at our upcoming shows to go with my own creations. I will post somes images of our finds later in the week once I unpack.

The trip was very nice except for the speeding ticket I received at 3 am outside of Indianapolis! Apparently my lead foot was excited to get to Ohio also. I was doing 77 in a 55 mile zone, the officer asked me what I was in such a hurry for. He obviously isn't a prim lover or he would of understood and given me a warning.

We stopped at the Springfield, Ohio Antique flea market on the way home but they were closing up in a
couple hours so we had to go through it pretty quickly. I found a few little treasures and I will definitely be back as the price's were great and there were many primitive vendors. If you are in the area when the market is on you HAVE to stop!

I have posted pictures of the rest of my stitcheries so please check them out and let me know what you think.

Ohio

I am off to Ohio today and I can't wait to see what primitive treasures we find when we get there. I am so excited I can barely contain myself. I will miss my puppies, my husband too I guess LOL!

Last weekend my hubby took me to Sandwich, IL to visit my favorite primitive shop and attend the Sandwich Easter in the Country craft show for my Birthday, we had a really nice time. There wasn't much at the craft show but there was one really nice primitive booth Otter Creek Primitives that I bought some mini carrot and bunny gingers (they are already in my bowls), wax grubby eggs and two mini americana pillows to put in our guest room. Then we were off to Two Sisters Then and Now, this is my absolute favorite primitive store in my area and I never leave empty handed. The ladies are so nice and they always have something for my hubby to snack on so he is happy; this time they had chilli and my hubby ate 3 bowls while I was shopping! I found a really cute primitive Bunny, a large grubby taper, a rusty wire candle holder and a small spring flower candle ring. I will post images when I return from Ohio. If you are ever in the area you have to check out the shops in Sandwich, they have several primitive stores and antique stores so you can make a day of it.

I finally finished framing the rest of my stitcheries late last night and will post images soon along with the grubby jar I have been working on. Check back next week to see all the treasures I find in Ohio!

Thanks for looking!

Beginning of a new endeavor

This is my first blog and I am very excited to get started, I hope you all come along with me on this new venture. Please keep checking the blog for upcoming shows we will be attending and images of prims for sale. If you are in the area please check out our booth in Antiques on Main in Crown Point, Indiana (located on the square).

Just a little bit about me, I have been married for 18 years to my High School Sweetheart, unfortunately we could not have children of our own, but we raised my neice and nephew who are all grown up now; and we have 5 crazy Border Collies that we consider our children, they keep us very busy! I have a love for all things primitive and also like to mix in a little Shabby Chic into my decorating. I am an avid gardener (when I get the time and weather permits) and love to go to flea markets and antiquing. I also enjoy creating primitive crafts and repurposing antiques and found items to sell.

Currently I have been working on spring stitcheries and have finished 25 of them in the last week (I think I have carple tunnel in my right hand now). These are my original designs that I draw out patterns for and then embroider on Coffee Stained muslin, I think they turned out really good, let me know what you think, I have posted pictures of the ones I have framed so far. I will post the others once I get the frames painted and antiqued. If you are interested in any of them please let me know as I am still in the process of opening our Etsy shop.

I am also getting ready to go on a buying trip to Ohio next weekend and will post images of the treasures I find when I return.

Finally, I just want to say thanks for taking a look at my blog and look forward to hearing from you.
